🔥 The Holocaust of Arkadi marked a turning point in the island’s struggle against Ottoman rule. Hundreds of rebels and civilians, besieged by the Ottomans, chose to ignite their gunpowder reserves rather than surrender. Their sacrifice became a cry for freedom that still echoes today.
