Founded in the 12th c. BCE, Agios Andreas is a large, heavily fortified settlement with a dense urban plan.
Perched on a hilltop high above Apollonia–the modern capital of Sifnos–it offers spectacular views of the entire east side of the island, & the neighbouring islands.

“I loved my stay in Xenia's house. Xenia is a perfect host, she welcomed us with all the warmth of the Greek people and showed everything we needed to know about the house and its features. The house is wonderful, impeccably decorated by the owner, it is also very functional, complete with satellite TV, netflix etc, wifi, washing machines complete with various detergents, new and modern air conditioning system, induction cookers, Nespresso coffee machines. The pantry contained sauces, pasta, biscuits, fruit, honey and everything needed for a basic breakfast. In addition, we found water and a welcome bottle of wine in the refrigerator. Since the house is divided into 3 apartments, two large and one small, it is possible to maintain privacy even for groups of friends or families. The house is cool and breezy and the air conditioning is also avoidable. The upper floor terrace is spectacular while the ground floor patio is a convenient meeting point for friends and families. Very comfortable beds and pillows for all tastes. In the bathrooms there are branded body, hand and hair products available in pharmacies, which is rare to find and much appreciated. We used daily cleaning, the ladies who take care of it are very good and punctual, on request it is also possible to have the cook service which we have not used due to the large offer of restaurants and taverns on the island. The location is perfect, a few meters from everything but far enough from the places where you can listen to music in the evening. The free municipal parking is also close and convenient. I reluctantly left the beautiful house of Xenia and the island of Sifnos which for me remains for many reasons one of the most beautiful and complete islands of the Aegean. In short, highly recommended. Thank you Xenia, everything was perfect.” ~ Georgia Susanna
