This golden double-edged Minoan axe, dating back to about 1500 BC, was discovered in the Arkalochori cave in Crete...
This axe is golden and carries a special inscription in a typing system called Linear A, which no one has yet been able to fully decipher. Some experts believe these symbols could be a prayer to the goddess Demeter.
People left these axes in the cave as offerings to the gods, kind of like leaving flowers or candles in a special place. This shows us that thousands of years ago, people had complex religious practices and craftsmanship....

Magnifique séjour! Nous cherchions un endroit paisible et relaxant et la maison a complètement répondu à nos attentes. La région est encore préservée de la foule et les plages sont calmes et magnifiques. Tout dans la maison est fait pour vous détendre, une excellente literie, un service de conciergerie discret et efficace et la piscine d'eau de mer offre une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer et les montagnes...Je ne peux que chaudement recommander Alexandra et son équipe (encore merci à Nikos, son père et Alexandra pour leur accueil).

Greece is the world's largest producer of black olives and has more varieties of olives than any other country.
The most prized Greek olive variety are tiny olives called Koroneiki. Crete and the Peloponnese peninsula are famous for producing these olives,especially Kalamata.
