Entering Eleni's Cottage you will be enchanted by the simplicity and beauty of the layout, bringing in mind old traditional cottages. Eleni's Cottage is a unique home of 75 m2, just recently renovated by the owners with love, care and attention which was given to every detail, having the guests’ convenience in mind and at heart. The open plan area consists of the living room, where the open fireplace adds a touch of warmth and a dining table for all guests. A smart TV is also available for long evenings of movie entertainment. A few steps away the fully equipped kitchen offers contemporary design and provides everything essential for a self catered holiday. The room is bright and airy all day long thanks to the large windows and offers direct access to the veranda. The double bedroom boasts a traditional style, having a romantic look that charms the senses through a bold colour palette, highlighted by the cypress green wall and decoration stamps, light brown wooden ceiling, beautiful everyday objects, metal bed with touches of gold and wonderful beddings in clear white. This bedroom also features an en-suite bathroom with a shower for your outmost comfort. The second bedroom, is a loft-type, lovely attic and can be accessed through a metal stair in the living room. It features four single beds and kids will love to make it their playing hideout, as well as big kids will find peace, using it as a resting place. An additional guest can be accommodated in the living room area. Finally, a shared bathroom with a walk in shower is also at the guests’ disposal. All beds have quality mattresses and mattress covers for your outmost comfort. External Living
The outdoor area of Eleni's Cottage is spread in 500m2, offering plenty of space for you to unwind and for the kids to play and explore! Let the hot summer sun caress your body while sunbathing, laying relaxed the comfort of your sun bed, or read the books you have been saving for your holiday. An additional dining/sitting area awaits you in the veranda, where you can spend then nights playing games with your loved ones and enjoy a home-made dinner, prepared with the finest local products. In ancient times the Persians, Greeks and Macedonians fought battles in the seas around the island. In the 13th century it was the Venetians that controlled Skiathos and in the 18th century when under Ottoman rule, the town - and specifically the Evangelistria Monastery - played a part in the Greek War of Independence. In the 19th century age of sail, the island became an important Aegean ship building centre because of the abundance of pine trees which were almost wiped out as a result. The town has a population of about 7,000 and is very attractive, with its jumble of red-roofed houses and climbing stone-paved streets. During the day the town can appear somewhat sleepy but in the evenings the waterfront hums with life and one is confronted with a daunting array of restaurants, cafe bars and tavernas. Nightlife could mean a quiet cafe, a lively bar or an up-to-the minute music club. Fast catamarans link Skiathos Port with Skopelos and Alonissos, water taxis provide transport to a variety of sandy beaches and excursions available include a good selection of boat trips.
