YOU ASKED, I ANSWER!
"What’s the best time to visit Santorini?"

It’s always the perfect time!
My favorite months though are:
May and early June, spring brings blooming beauty and the beginning of summer dazzles with golden sunsets
And Mid September and early October when autumn glows with serene vibes, and lets you explore the island without the crowds .

Every season has its charm... When will your Santorini dream begin?
Have you already booked your tickets?

TOURING WITH KOSTAS - The secrets of Akrotiri

Step back in time and uncover the mysteries of Akrotiri, one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the world. Buried under volcanic ash for over 3,600 years, this ancient city offers an extraordinary glimpse into the advanced Minoan civilization that thrived on Santorini before its destruction in the 17th century BCE.

Often compared to Pompeii, Akrotiri is remarkably well-preserved, with sophisticated structures, and intricate artifacts that reveal a society far ahead of its time. Some even believe it could be the inspiration behind the legend of lost Atlantis.

Duration: 90 minutes
Meeting point: Ticket Booth Akrotiri Excavations

Just an average afternoon in Oia on a winter afternoon...

It's still beautiful, isn't it?

Might be well known for its colors and sunsets, but doesn't it look very charming also in low season?

Would you visit Santorini when it's almost empty?

Today, Greeks celebrate Epiphany (Theofania), one of the most important days in the Orthodox Church. It’s also called the Festival of Light (Ton Foton), and everywhere you’ll hear people wishing each other Xronia Polla!

It marks the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River and his revelation as part of the Holy Trinity. There is a beautiful tradition for this day: The Blessing of the Waters!

A priest throws a cross into the sea, river, or lake, and brave men dive in to retrieve it. Whoever catches the cross is believed to enjoy a year of blessings and good fortune!

Adding to the beauty, the priest releases a dove (symbolizing the Holy Spirit) and blesses fishing boats and homes with basil dipped in holy water.
Plus, children sing joyful kalanta (carols) unique to this day.

Xronia Polla! Would you be brave to dive for the cross?

GREEK TRADITIONS with KOSTAS!

🎂 Vasilopita: A Sweet Slice of Luck!

New Year in Greece comes with a delicious tradition—Vasilopita!
It's a special cake baked with a hidden coin inside, and as families gather to cut it, everyone hopes to find the lucky piece.
The cake is divided for each member of the party.
Whoever gets the coin is believed to have a year full of blessings, good fortune, and success!

The Vasilopita tradition is shared all over Greece and for the whole month of January, not only amongst families, also for institutions, clubs, workplaces.

Why the name Vasilopita? The cake is often dedicated to Saint Basil, known for his generosity and kindness.

Who got the lucky slice?

Did you know that in Greece, we don’t just decorate Christmas trees—we also light up karavakia (little boats)?

This charming tradition, especially alive in coastal regions and islands, goes way back. Children decorate small boats with lights and carry them as they sing carols to their neighbors. These festive boats are then placed at the front doors of homes, symbolizing hope, journeys, and new beginnings.

Fun fact: Christmas trees didn’t even appear in Greece until 1833, brought by King Otto from Bavaria! Before that, the karavaki was the star of the season. Today, you’ll spot both Christmas boats and trees, blending history and modernity into a uniquely Greek celebration.

So, if you visit Greece during the holidays, keep an eye out for these adorable lit-up boats in homes and public spaces—they’re the heart of Greek Christmas!

Boat or tree—what’s your favorite?

Can you name what you see in the first picture?
Hint if you swipe left.

It's 'koulouri', this is how vineyards look in winter in Santorini!
It's a sort of basket where the future grape will grow protected in summertime.

Did you know that Santorini is famous for great wines?

Let's explore together the wine history of the island!

YOU ASKED, I ANSWER!
"Can you pick us up from the port of Fira?"

This is a real FAQ! And the answer is no, it's not possible.
The Old Port of Fira is a tendered port and you will be transported to the island via tender boats. The Old Port is located beneath the island's capital, Fira and is not accessible to any vehicles.

Once you reach the port, you have a few options to get to Fira or explore the island:
Cable Car: quick and easy (but it can be busy). The ride to the top lasts approximately 2 minutes and offers stunning views. Be aware there might be lines, especially during peak times.

On foot: If you're up for a hike, you can walk up the 588 steps to Fira. This is a steep and challenging path, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a workout.

We will meet at the exit of the Cable Car, I will welcome you with a warm smile and we will start our discovery of Santorini!

DM us with your cruise dates and I will get back to you with my availability.
