Каждое движение отточено и несёт глубокий сакральный смысл в рамках суфизма. Действо начинается со стихов Руми во славу пророка Мухаммеда. Затем под музыку выходят танцоры в белоснежных широких юбках – они скрещивают руки на груди и медленно кружатся в одном направлении (справа налево), одновременно перемещаясь по кругу. По мере ускорения музыки и темпа участники ритуала раскрывают руки и направляют правую вверх – к богу, а левую вниз – к земле. Это символизирует получение и передачу божественной энергии.
