Happy Birthday to my business buddy! Kyriakos Kalis you have been my closest coworker for the last 25+ years and would like to wish you many more to come with the same energy, clarity and dedication to the cause.

Twenty six years ago, together we sailed the Cosmatoship toward new horizons and we explored new services and established new collaborations while respecting our corporate inheritance and maintaining the high quality standards set 50+ years ago by the founder of our Group.

What a better way to celebrate your birthday other than in PPE gear under the Greek summer sun while setting up yet another transport project.

My dear Pia Klitten Sørensen and Lars Klitten Jensen you are one of the most amazing couples I know, I love you both, it’s an honor to be your friend and I wish you many many more years of happiness together.

As said last night, your story is a story to be shared cause you are an inspiration to all of us who know you.

Our project together for the while Cosmatos Group served you as your local agent in Greece was a huge success, meeting all challenges in a timely and professional way. It had been an experience to cherish right in the beginning of my career. Indeed a deep dive into demanding operations but definitely a character-building opportunity.

Dimitris takes care of all of the customs needs for companies within the Group. His role includes warehouse customs broker at Hub Logistics, managing all formalities for bonded storage, safe and compliant storage of hazardous goods and with Customs Regime 7. Having been involved in the sector since 2004, Dimitris has seen profound changes in the customs clearance process in his years - specifically as a result of digitalization.

Yesterday, we were delighted to host a group of postgraduate students in our premises. While on their MSc in Port Organisation, Operation, Development & Management - University of West Attica we were more than happy to share with them knowledge and expertise coming from our industry.

During our session, in-depth discussions were explored about current trends and advancements that shape the Greek logistics landscape. Executives coming from many different departments in Cosmatos Group took the opportunity to share with the students their everyday tasks, as well as the challenges they might encounter during their daily work. We highlighted the excitement and the sense of fulfillment that lies within, the different fields of expertise and the new possibilities they might meet once they enter the shipping industry.

Such a landmark moment for Cosmatos Shipping Services representing two remarkable cruise ships in Thessaloniki today as the local shipping agent.

Early this morning we welcomed CELEBRITY INFINITY coming from Kusadasi and heading to Kavala with a bit over 3000 passengers and crew on board.

With an hour’s difference, we had the privilege to welcome the NORWEGIAN GETAWAY in her maiden voyage in Thessaloniki. With a bit less than 6000 passengers and crew on board, our colorful lady sailed from Piraeus to the beautiful city of Thessaloniki before she sails toward Istanbul later today.

A proud moment for our team on the ground welcoming crew and passengers and taking care of the smallest details! It takes a well organized team to support demanding operations such as this and with the leadership of Kyriakos Kalis, Director CSS SA, our competent team, works seamlessly behind the scenes.

This week we introduce you to Nikolaos Kamperis, Logistics Coordinator at Cosmatos company Hub Logistics. Nikos has responsibility for overseeing the movement of goods from the supplier to the consumer, and an average day involves, among other tasks, reviewing and updating shipping schedules and transportation plans. What he likes most about his role is the opportunity to use problem-solving skills to find creative solutions, ensuring that shipments reach their destinations on time and in good condition.

So well attended, and with amazing women in the room – the energy was fantastic. It was my pleasure to share mentoring stories with the audience, alongside fellow panellists ELI Gjesdal (cpcc, acc, mm) Miriam Nagel and thank you Leslie Meredith for hosting this excellent event. We truly are stronger together and I could not be prouder to be a Woman in Breakbulk.
