From / To Eressos/Sigri/Tavari , to / from Mitilini. With possible Middle stop Plomari or a stop of your choice.
[Sigri-Mitilini] Duration (nonstop) ~8 hours , +stop ~10hours.

The Urge of Being
creative expedition and workshop, Cyclades, Greece, June 2024.
"The Urge of Being" is organized by Marcozzi Contemporary Theater, facilitated by Daniela Marcozzi in collaboration with LAFRIonArt&Beyond, and capitan and artist Nikolas Piperas.
We have been sailing for 11 days in the Cyclades Archipelago, sailed, lived and floated close to natural and archeological sites, and we have been artistically researching and creating in these sites.
The artistic work has been facilitated by the performing artist Daniela Marcozzi and the sites of interest have been chosen with the Captain and artist Nikolas Piperas.
This video refer to the experience we had at the Temple of Athena and Amphitheater in Kea.

In the temple of Apollo, we let the blinding sun reveal our names; we're being consulted by Athena, who responds by giving us a stone. Its warmth transforms our skin. We become something else. Our mouths are mirrored in the cave, and our voice becomes the breath of the wind.
Across a tongue of sand, we orchestrate the infinite trajectories of the wind. In the contact, in the vortex, on the water's surface.
Our pelvis as a boat
back as a mast
arms as sails
hands as fins
gaze on the horizon.
What is the rope that keeps us on earth, what is the rope that frees us? What is the rope we want to cut? Rebuild? Which rope do we cling on to? Which rope do we bind ourselves with?
As a group, we become an organism.
Through winds and waves, we become LAFRI.
On June 15, a group of five artists embarks on the creative expedition "The Urge of Being," under the artistic guidance of Daniela Marcozzi, onboard the sailing boat LAFRI with its captain Nikolas Piperas.
This performance is the result of the collaboration between Marcozzi Contemporary Theater and Lafri on Art and Beyond.

"Γινομαι ΛΑΦΡΗ"
Παρουσίαση τέχνης, εργαστήρι χορού.
Είσοδος ελευθερη.
Στο ναό του Απόλλωνα, αφήνουμε τον ασυγκράτητο ήλιο να αποκαλύψει τα ονόματά μας. Συμβουλευόμαστε την Αθηνά, που μας απαντά δίνοντάς μας έναν λίθο. Η ζεστασιά του μεταμορφώνει το δέρμα μας. Γίναμε κάτι άλλο. Τα στόματά μας καθρεφτιζονται στο σπήλαιο, και η φωνή μας γίνεται η αναπνοή του ανέμου.
Πέρα από μια γλώσσα άμμου, οργανώνουμε τις άπειρες τροχιές του ανέμου. Στην επαφή, στον στρόβιλο, στην επιφάνεια του νερού.
Η λεκάνη μας σαν σκάφος
H πλάτη σαν κατάρτι
μπράτσα σαν πανιά
χέρια σαν πτερύγια
βλέμμα στον ορίζοντα.
Ποιο είναι το σχοινί που μας κρατά γειωμένους, ποιο είναι το σχοινί που μας απελελευθερώνει; Ποιο είναι το σχοινί που θέλουμε να κόψουμε; Να ξαναχτίσουμε; Σε ποιο σχοινί κρατιόμαστε; Με ποιο σχοινί δεσμευόμαστε;
Ως ομάδα, γίνομαστε ένας οργανισμός.
Μέσα από τους ανέμους και τα κύματα, γινόμαστε ΛΑΦΡΗ.
