Of course, Zakynthos is primarily famous for beaches, which are among the most beautiful in Greece. However, it remains a stunning destination for autumn as well, when you will be able to discover the calm and authentic side of a truly traditional place. After all, for several years now, the Greek summer seems to be extending more and more into the first period of autumn, with the sweet weather, high temperatures and mild climate being our allies in every excursion in September and October!!
Lacy shores, secret caves, swimming next to the cute Caretta Caretta, music rooted in the Italian past of Zakynthos, lively festivals, delicious pastries, great local wine - these are just some of the features that make up the image of a diverse and exciting place, which is also easily accessible, since you can reach the island with many charter flights. Next to all this, the great literary past of Zakynthos comes to be added, which in itself is enough to fascinate any visitor. Our national poet, Dionysios Solomos, was a native of Fiore di Levante and in fact, wrote in Zakynthos the "Hymn to Freedom" as well as the "Free Besiegers". The same applies to the poet Andreas Kalvos, as well as to Grigorios Xenopoulos, who through his beautiful books brought to life not only the landscapes of Zakynthos, but also an entire era.
