Spreading Holiday Joy with Proyecto Bendición! 🎁

This holiday season, we had the privilege of partnering with Proyecto Bendición to bring smiles and love to those in need at the Chimaltenango Landfill, where we delivered gifts to hardworking children, brightening their holiday season.

We couldn’t stop there, so we also visited
- El Tejar Village: Celebrated with piñatas, laughter, and presents for the children.
- San Juan Comalapa: Shared warmth and kindness with the elderly at a local care home.

At Wicho & Charlie’s, we believe in giving back to the community that inspires us every day. Thank you to everyone who made this possible! Together, we can make a difference.

At Wicho & Charlie’s, we celebrate the Flower Festival in Antigua, Guatemala, with our own green tradition: instead of floral arrangements, we plant trees! 🌱 And we would love for you to do the same! Don’t underestimate the importance of shoes! Properly fitted hiking boots or sports/running shoes provide excellent protection, ankle support, and reinforced durability, making them the ideal choice for challenging terrains and unpredictable weather conditions. On the other hand, shoes that don’t fit properly can cause blisters and discomfort, so be sure to choose the right size.

Before hitting the trail, make sure you have the right gear on your feet. 🥾🌋

Note: We do not rent hiking boots or any kind of shoes. We recommend looking for “pacas” or second-hand shops around Antigua’s market, where you may find new boots as well. 🫶

Guatemala has only two seasons: dry and rainy. Our terrain is packed, creating more resistance to slip, and the humidity is good for your body. Enjoy mystical landscapes with fog in the forest, stay warm and dry in our cabins, and get a rain poncho included in the tour price.

Calling All Heroes! 📣

Wicho & Charlie’s is stepping up to support our community in a time of need. A family dedicated to helping a house of elderly people in Antigua, Guatemala, has been robbed, leaving them without essential supplies. We are opening our doors to receive donations and help them rebuild.

Items Needed:

Medical Supplies: Ibuprofen, multivitamins, vitamin D and calcium, muscle pain and arthritis creams, antibiotics, bandages, gauze, tape, scissors, tweezers, disinfecting wipes, alcohol gel.
Personal Care Items: Toilet paper, adult diapers, toothbrushes, shampoo, and soap.
Food Supplies: Fresh vegetables and fruits, nutritional supplements, and non-perishable food.
Every little bit helps! Let’s come together and show our support. Donations can be dropped off at our agency. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟❤️
