Its time to visit the Maya, both Archaelogy and vibrant living culture!
Take a few minutes to read a detailed review from clients we hosted last earlier this month:
Dear Alfonso,
We are flying home tomorrow and wanted to take a moment first to thank you for making this the trip of a lifetime.
From the days that you PERSONALLY guided us through the Guatemala City museums, the Chichecastenango market, Lake Atitlan and Antigua, to the archaeology tour you oversaw so ably, we are eternally grateful for everything you’ve done. Tito (Hector), his wife who hosted us in her own home, Wilson the driver and Juan Carlos the Copan guide did great work in Honduras, and Alan handled us capably all by himself in Belize. And Julio Tot in Guatemala and Arturo Naranjo in Chiapas and Tabasco were extraordinary, and their love for and knowledge of Maya culture and history really shone through. (And their drivers, Gilberto and Edwin respectively, handled the roads and us capably.)
Also, we loved all our lodgings - especially on Isla Flores and at Cahal Pech in San Ignacio, Belize.
I should also mention that you put together our tour at half the cost to us than other agencies were charging for similar itineraries.
In short, you and every person and institution you’ve engaged to support your clients’ travels are absolutely superb! We cannot thank you enough, and we would recommend Four Directions Travel wholeheartedly to any traveler who has a deep interest in Central America and in Mayan culture.

P.S. Also, you were right about our guides being excellent birders as well. As soon as they knew I was interested in birds they identified them by both song and sight. Julio and Allen were especially good bird guides, and Arturo arranged a boat ride on Laguna Catazajá where Rita and I were amazed by the hundreds of shorebirds and iguanas and crocodiles. Charlotte
