Rio Dulce (sweet river) it is part of a lake and river system that has become a popular cruising sailboat destination. The river begins at the point where it flows out of Lake Izabal.

On this experience you will cross through "EL Golfete", the wider are of the river in which the Chocon Machaca park and the
floating gardens are located. Along the way you will also stop at Ak'Tenamit, a local cooperative that has been able to assist the village in the education and medical services through sustainable methods.

Between "El Golfete" and Livingstone, starts an impressive canyon with walls of jungle and limestone.

The tour ends at Livingston, the only town in Guatemala in which the Garifunas settle in the 1800s. It has a unique ambiance that you won't find anywhere else in the country. Laid-back and
relaxed, Livingston will remind you more of a Caribbean island than of Latin America.

Beach day from Toledo District out to famous Snake Cayes.
First you board you private charter from Punta Gorda, then cruise to Golden Stream river for fishing "catch your lunch", then on to the Cayes for snorkeling, scuba diving, r&r, BBQ lunch, etc.

The Snake Cayes is a group of four small islands that lie roughly about 20 miles off its southern coast of the Toledo District and include West, Middle, East and South Snake Cayes. They got their names due to the abundance of boa constrictors that once lived on one of the islands.

Can be very easily visited from Hopkins, Placencia and even Punta Gorda in the Toledo District.

Jungle cruise through the River spotting all types of Birds, Crocodiles, Iguanas, and yes Monkeys. Then pursue a Jungle walk to see the Monkeys up close and personal.

Then off the town of Monkey River to have a local BELIZEAN dish rice and beans. Where you can take a splash in the water.

Getting back you can also find manatee watching along the cruise back.
