The Deer Dance ( La danza de la Caza del Venado)

It is a representation of the war between hunters and wild animals 🦌 In this way they fight for the deer meat as food. In other words it can be affirmed that the deer dance is a hunting ritual. Its origin belongs to the Maya Classic Period.

Eventhough nowadays it is only a cultural 🇬🇹representation from our Mayan people. ✨







This dance was presented at the Tikal National Park ✨

In Guatemala 🇬🇹 We have 3 species of Toucans.

✅ Keel-Billed(Ramphastos sulfuratus)

✅ Collared Aracari (Pteroglossus torquatus)

✅Emerald Toucanet (Aulacorhynchus prasinus)

Today while hiking in one of our adventures we were able to see this incredible show of nature, A couple of collared aracari toucans were feeding their baby 😍

It was amazing to experience this show of love in nature 🍃

IT WAS A JAGUAR!!!! That was what we all exclaimed 😳😳 I could not believe it can be heard in the video as well 🤯 just a couple of days ago on a busy and hot day we saw it while driving to the parking lot of The Tikal National Park and it was the first time I was able to record a blurry video🫣 But this time we got it better😍

We couldn’t be happier since everyone in the group was asking for this. Chan (one of my tourist) 7 yr old was singing all the way to the Parking lot.

I want to see a Jaguar 🎶🎶🎶 We all laughed because he was singing it in German language and Jaguar was the only word we could understand but his Mom told the rest of the group what he was saying 😉

One more experience added to this wonderful adventure🥳🥳🥳

WOW!!!! YES!! We were the lucky ones to see a Jaguar 🐆 crossing the road during the day but most amazing on a busy day, As always expecting one of this surprises from the jungle but this time I was able to record at least a very small part of this experience 🎉🎉🎉

This was a Wonderful Adventure! 👏

Today we had a unique adventure!

After visiting the Island of Flores, We headed up to the lookout point of Rey Canek to enjoy this fantastic view and be able to have an unforgettable experience.

The Island of Flores is the Capital of the Petén Department in Guatemala. During the ancient Mayan times the city of Flores was occupied by the Maya Itza group and it was known as “ Noj Peten” or “Noh Peten”( Big Island) it was one of the last Mayan cities that was conquered by the Spanish in 1697.

The colorful, colonial style and narrow cobble stone streets makes this place unique and a must to do when visiting the hearth of the Mayan world.
