We surf the wake each week offering beginner classes / Intermediate Starting in panajachel riding all the way to santa cruz, santa catarina and san antonio.

Volunteering with Viamistad

What a wounderful last few days with the group from the Viamistad camp. We went out to the pacific coast for some sand, surf and sun...and turtles! The campers loved paddleboarding through the mangroves and experiencing the different water environment. We are looking forward to the next camp starting 15th December in Santiago.

We we would like to congratulate Andrea's improvement, hard work and dedication. A couple months ago she went through ankle surgery . Just three wks ago her cast came off. Your such an inspiration! Keep up the good work 🙏

Our Story

Thinking of exploring Lake Atitlan? Why not explore it from the water!

GuateSUP (formerly PanaSurf N Sup) has only been in business for the past four years, but our family has called Panajachel home for over 35 years.

Owner JC, grew up in Venice Beach surfing and paddleboarding; having a board under his feet is second nature. Over the course of the past 30 years, he has been a resident of Lake Atitlan living in different locations around the lake.

He considers many locals family. He is fluent in English, Spanish, some ASL and Cakchiquel dialect spoken by the locals. He has been working for years with local charities, hosting various events, and is heavily involved in events to give back to the community.
