This holiday season, we’re celebrating Chef Maria Isabel Xic Saso—better known as ‘Chef Isa’—the heart and soul of our kitchen and the longest-serving member of the Guatemalan Billfishing Adventures family. ❤️
Isa’s journey with us began in 2004 as a housekeeper, but her passion and talent led her to discover her true calling in the kitchen. Today, she’s not just our chef—she’s the creator of unforgettable flavors that make every meal at Billfish Inn feel like home. 🍴✨
Her dedication doesn’t stop at work. Isa is a proud mom to her 13-year-old son, Kelvin, who is her pride and joy, and she’s also a devoted caregiver to Loki, her pet raccoon, whom she lovingly raised from infancy. 🌟🐾
When she’s not cooking up masterpieces, Isa enjoys gospel music and even aspires to become a songwriter—proving that her creativity extends far beyond the kitchen.
