非常感謝Alex Fong 方力申一直對我們的支持！由早前的個人演唱會，至最近出席溫布頓網球決賽的服裝，都是我們阮氏洋服為他度身訂造的。阮師傅超過五十年經驗的特別裁剪及全手工Full Cavans 做的西裝，外型歷久不變。而今次粉紅色布料做的孖襟外套，更採用了傳統英式2+2的袖口鈕設計再加上空軍尖頭領，令成品觀感更強烈。

因為一次的邀請，為阮師傅的裁縫生涯開拓了全新領域，並且帶來了意想不到的發展。由軍營的裁縫工作，到後來自己親身到其他國家了解及研究各種布藝，令阮師傅最後不但基本層面發展這個嗜好，更是透過加入創新想法，將原為西式的裁縫工藝融入了香港的特色，繼而再於本地宣揚文化創作。

要將外地的文化帶到本土已是不易之事，要將兩者結合，藉此推動文化交流更是難上加難，然而阮師傅卻並沒有因此卻步，更是擔當主動的一方，希望透過利用作品直接對人說話，呈現工藝的美。

Thanks to a single invitation, Master Yuen’s tailoring journey embarked on an exciting new path, yielding unforeseen developments. Transitioning from military camp tailoring to personally exploring textiles worldwide, he not only deepened his craft but also ingeniously melded Western tailoring techniques with Hong Kong’s unique flair, igniting local cultural creativity.

Bringing foreign cultures to the local scene poses challenges, let alone merging them to foster cultural exchange. Yet, Master Yuen embraced the task, taking the lead to communicate directly through his work and unveil the artistry of his craft.

In partnering with 1001HK, Yuen’s Tailor Shop injects a “lifestyle” element into their brand, expanding beyond textile tailoring. This infusion of creativity ensures greater versatility, enriching the public’s everyday experiences with valuable artistic culture.

Made from tartan, a traditional woollen cloth that served to identify ancient Scottish clans, the Yuens soon became the go-to tailors for Scots in the city, and even created a special tartan just for Hong Kong. Our Story

Yuen's Tailor is a family-owned tailoring shop, with over 40 years of experience providing bespoke tailoring services to local and expats. We are genuine tailors who start learning our trade as tailoring apprentices during 1960s to 1970s.

From 1977 to 1994, we were the sole tailoring shop located within the closed military area at Stanley Fort, serving the tailoring needs of several rotations of British regiments garrisoned there. During that period, we learned to service and make military uniforms as well as Scottish tartan clothing.

Between 1995 to 2017, we continued providing our tailoring services within the Escalator Link Alley on the first floor of Central Market. Many passerby may recognize us as a small, cramped shop with a big red “Yuen’s Tailor” sign, with a mannequin dressed in Scottish kilt on our clustered storefront. While most of our clients are having business suits made at our shops, we were always thrilled by orders for trews, kilts, or historical military uniforms.

In 2017, we have moved to our current location at Lan Kwai Fong. We are looking forward to continue providing our tailoring services to Hong Kong locals and expats alike.
