Until year 2002, you still had the choice between an ordinary double decker like ours or an air-conditioned one on route 66X. About 1/3 of the journey runs on the highway so it wasn’t too unpleasant (perhaps even enjoyable for some) on a hot & humid summer day here in Hong Kong.
