索罟群島位於香港水域最西南面，以前由於經常有圍網姑仔捕魚，因而得名索罟(收網). 最大的島嶼為大丫洲，1989年至1996年為前越南難民營， 高峰時期曾收容一萬多名越南難民。

Soko Islands located on 113°54.510'E, 22°10.049'N, the most southwest islands among Hong Kong Water. Named by the Cantonese pronunciation of the action of how the purse seiners hauled the fishing nets. The biggest islands Tai A Chai with proper pier was the former Vietnamese refugee camp during 1989 to 1996, recieved maximum 10,000 vietnam supported by United Nation Refugre Agency.
