The 13th edition of the Hanoi Half Marathon (formerly the Song Hong Half Marathon) returns after a four-year hiatus!

Records fly at the 2019 Vertical World Circuit launch at Lotte World Tower in Seoul
The glittering line-up promised at the 2019 Vertical World Circuit launch in Seoul outshone expectations with the first two men summiting under record time. The third edition of the Lotte World Tower International Sky Run saw a record 1,600 competitors take part today in the fifth tallest building in the world and the highest race on the circuit.
Star of the show was last year’s winner, Poland’s Piotr Lobodzinski, five-time VWC champion, setting a new record in 15’37” to ascend 2,917 steps, 123 floors and 500 metres vertical climb. It was always going to be a battle between the winner and Australian Mark Bourne, holder of the first record, 15’44”, set in 2017. Bourne closed two seconds off Lobodzinski in 15’39”.

All the Best Moments from the 2018 Harukas Skyrun in Osaka, Japan
Video Highlights: A new men’s record was set on Japan’s tallest tower at the Harukas Skyrun, the seventh leg of the Vertical World Circuit skyscraper racing tour. A record field of 1,500 runners climbed 1,610 steps and 59 floors to the rooftop of the Abeno Harukas building in Osaka.
Vertical World Circuit champion Piotr Lobodzinski from Poland won the race for the third time, bettering his own 2017 record by two seconds to close in 8’32”. Local athlete Yuri Yoshizumi also took her third win in a time of 10’36 win, but fell short of her own record set last year.

Extreme runners race up the stairs in Beijing skyscraper
On August 25, one of Beijing’s tallest towers hosted the fifth stage of the nine-race Vertical World Circuit, up 82 floors and 2,041 steps. Australians Mark Bourne and Suzy Walsham took the day in a field of more than 700 participants at the sixth edition of the China World Summit Wing Beijing Vertical Run.
