Grow the Pie factory exhibition is a warm-hearted project curated by Pak Sheung Chuen and HASS Lab. The talented artist Sara Tse is using ceramic as a creative media for disabled communities in Hong Kong from 香港耀能協會 to create ceramic spoons, plates and mugs in an artistic way. That wasn't an easy task for them, but it was a joyful process to create. The main concept is Weak Vague Aesthetic by Pak Sheung Chuen, everyone including disabled can create and express their styles and prespectives of art. Their artworks can be purchased at the gallery Bridge+ from 16th Nov to 25th Dec. Come, support and grow the Pie!

Some video highlights of Bridging Music and Culture series: Traditional Music of Uzbekistan.

Breathtaking performances of the top-notch musicians and Masters Guzal Muminova (dutar), Аброр Зуфаров (vocal and tanbur), Уткур Кадыров (g'ijjak) and Sherzod Nazarov (doira), teleported us from Hong Kong to Uzbekistan by their most authentic uzbek traditional music, joy and dance. This concert is curated by the talented dutar musician Eugene Leung , whom is the student of master Guzal Muminova!

These clips are dedicated to all the musicians and to those who may also want to enjoy some uzbek wonderful melodies.

A connection between life and death.

I snapped those two particular moments from the backstage of the last night Chiu Chow/Teochew Opera. I was moved by those talented actors and actresses on the stage. Those shots were taken when they were facing back to the audience, but their emotions and skills were still intacted, you could feel their aura. Chinese we say: 台上一分鐘，台下十年功(one minute on stage is the hard work of 10 years off the stage). Those talented actors and actresses can totally fit in this quote. Being at the backstage of this festival is one of my bucket lists, and when I was being quiet to observe everything, I felt my father was with me, enjoying the opera and taking photos together. I guess, this is the ultimate aim of Yue Lan Festival that connects of living ones and those who departed. No more about ghosts and horrifying tales of this event.
