Probably the most authentic Japanese ramen place in Colombia! (although for some reason not the most famous one..)

The revered Lechona has got an unmatched status in Bogota.
Originally from Tolima, where the best lechona is deemed to come from, the whole pig is stuffed with rice + seasoning and then roasted.
It's a very traditional dish that's gotten bad rap as bad quality ones are sold at football matches (on the left)
A refreshed gourmet version can now be found in trendy new-age colombian restaurants (on the right)

Love the sun in Bogota - it's dry and warm on the skin!
Since Bogota is 2600m closer to the sun, make sure you slab thick layers of SPF 50 sunscreen, and every 2 hours!
White tourists have been deceived by the sometimes-overcast days and get completely roasted by the end of the day.
Residents in Bogota are also recommended to apply sunblock daily to slow-down the ageing process!

saw a tall Indian-looking man coming her way, talking on his mobile:
Hey, look, do you think that guy is from India? He looks like the guy in the Big Sick! (Not common in Bogota)
No, he's costeño. (Colombians from the coast, most commonly, the Caribbean coast)
Really?!? He doesn't look like a costeño!
Well, costeños look human until they speak.
😂😂😂😂😂
(Costeños have a distinct accent which is one of the few things that make them popular).

Cartagena is HOT!
So, it's full of colonial buildings with the much needed big courtyards in the middle that provide some respite from the scorching sun!
So it's important to find your shade between 12 - 4pm - try the cafes and museums!

Nothing better than getting a taxi in the middle of 🐱 & 🐶 !!
It's kinda ridiculous the things you can be proud in Bogotá:
1. Get a taxi in 10 seconds when it's pouring
2. Cross 4km in 10 minutes when it normally takes 40 even though it shouldn't
