🏠 I'm often asked about hurricanes in Utila. I wondered the same thing on my first visit, but once I found out it is not in hurricane alley I became more interested in the island. We learned from a live song 🎶 being played at Poppa Bones in Roatan (had great 🍕) that the last one to hit was Mitch in 1998 so that was good to know 🌀.
☀️ Most of the time the weather is great. The average high is 83°, the average low 73°. There is the slow 🌧️ season, mainly Oct./Nov., but Dec/Jan can also be wet. I'd avoid Oct/Nov., however some people do enjoy the break with less people on the island. To me, the best time to come is anytime, but if you can choose, some where from the middle of Jan to the middle of Sept is ideal 🏖️.
