Plamenci(Flamingos) su vrsta ptica iz porodice Phoenicopteridae. Oni su poznati po svojoj jarko roze ili crvenkasto-roze boji, koja dolazi od hranjivih tvari u njihovoj prehrani. Oni se nalaze u južnoj Europi, južnoj Aziji i južnoj Americi, i uglavnom žive u slatkovodnim ili slanim staništima poput jezera, močvara i lokve. Flamingosi su visoki od 1,1 do 1,5 metara i teže od 2 do 5 kg. Oni se hrane glavom unazad, koristeći svoje križaste vilice da filtriraju plankton, alge i čestice iz vode. Oni također mogu jesti insekte, mikroorganizme i morske školjke. Flamingosi su socijalne ptice i žive u velikim kolonijama. Oni su monogamni i izgrađuju dugotrajne veze s partnerom.
