Svi dijelovi biljke Oleandra su otrovni. Otrov iz oleandra utječe na rad srca, odnosno usporava ga te može dovesti do infarkta. Čak i udisanje dima gorućeg oleandra izaziva zdravstvene probleme. Čini se kako je i najpoznatija proročica Apolonova hrama u Delfima, koristila oleandar, kako bi mogla proricati. Naime, koliko znamo, ona je koristila biljku kojom je izazivala halucinacije, koje su joj omogućile proricanje.

Zato divimo joj se samo očima 🤓
