🏖 The island of Prvić!

The most important climate occurrence for the island is the frequent and stormy bora which, according to the former lighthouse staistics, blows an average of 203 days a year, and reaches hurricane forces of 11-12 Beaufort about 73 days a year (except summer), so it is our windiest island.

In 1972, the island was protected as a special botanical and ornithological reserve.

Klimatski je za otok najvažnija česta i olujna bura, koja po statistici bivšeg svjetionika, tu puše prosječno kroz 203 dana u godini, a orkanske snage od 11–12 bofora doseže oko 73 dana godišnje (osim ljeta), pa je to naš najburniji otok.

1972. otok je zaštićen kao specijalni botanički i ornitološki rezervat.

Baška obiluje s tridesetak šljunčanih plaža, najveća i jedna od najljepših je bašćanska "Vela plaža" koja je službeno otvorena daleke 1908. godine, (prvo službeno kupalište na otoku Krku), te od 1999. godine dobiva svoju europsku Plavu zastavu. 🏖
