🌊🏞️💚 Yesterday, in the framework of the International Danube Day celebration in Kopački rit Nature Park, DANUBEPARKS promoted our first cookbook "One river, ten countries, countless flavours" (written by prof. Ivan Gašpić). Visitors had opportunity to taste some of the dishes present in the cookbook.
It was amazing event, which brought the story of Returning to the Last Danube closer to the visitors!
The chef, Mr. Marko Horvat (NGO Tako je to nekad bilo) received only good comments... Looking forward to the next cookbook promotion!

This annual event is celebrated on June 29 throughout the Danube River Basin, along small creeks and large streams. The celebration pay tribute to the vital role the Danube and its tributaries play in people’s lives: providing water, food, power, recreation and livelihoods. Danube Day celebrated the people of the region and the wildlife that finds refuge there.

Javna ustanova za zaštitu prirode OBŽ će predstaviti projekt RIVERSIDE. Projekt se provodi u Prekograničnom rezervatu biosfere Mura-Drava-Dunav u području između Hrvatske i Mađarske, a njegov cilj je uspostavljanje što bolje suradnje između hrvatskih i mađarskih upravljača i korisnika tog od strane UNESCO-a zaštićenog područja.

🌊🏞️💚 We are excited to officially announce that the first DANUBEPARKS cookbook: "One river, ten countries, countless flavours" is finally out! You can download it for free here:https://danubeparks.org/sharepoint/public/1653551614_uploads.pdf
Author of the cookbook - prof. Ivan Gašpić - who is a great expert on the topic of the connection between culture, identity, and gastronomy selected 12 amazing recipes which are telling the story of Danubian identity shaped and inspired by the river.
In the cookbook, you can find 1 recipe from each of the 10 Danube countries (from Germany to Romania), and 2 ancient Roman recipes. However, you can also find some information about DANUBEPARKS Network and its 18 Protected Areas.
