Despite being on the island Bol is easy to travel to because of great traffic connections by ✈️, ⛴ and 🚙. Brač airport is just 10 minutes ride from Bol, another option with more flights is through the Split airport. There are many daily ferry lines (from Split to Supetar and from Makarska to Sumartin) if you travel by car or if you are on foot there are bus lines and taxi services that will take you from ferry ports to Bol. Fast speedboats (catamaran) will take you directly from Split Ferry Port to Bol or from Split Airport to Bol. On the photo is the catamaran dock in our beautiful Bol harbor ⚓️🏝

A little bit of unexpected bad weather for this period delayed our deadlines but we are fast forward now with ☀️ above us. Pool is done except grouting the tiles in white, it’s on the schedule this week. We decided for all white inside the pool to achieve natural sky blue color of the water at the end 💦 New stone paving on the terrace and around the house is in progress right now. If weather stays like this we’re filling this cute heated with sea view by Friday 🤞🏼

If hiking and trekking ⛰ are your thing there are plenty of options for you while in Bol. Paths to Vidova gora and Blaca Hermitage are the most famous and most known (more on that another time) and surely a must see, but there are a lot of less known paths to discover pristine beauty and nature of Brac island.
Here are some photos to get the idea what you’ll come across while exploring Bol surroundings above the sea.
After a nice walk get down to the one of the beaches and take a refreshment in crystal clear sea, have a cocktail or glass of wine.. and when the night comes we promise you’ll have the most beautiful sleep 🤗

Pool coming soon 💦 it will be more than ready by the time the weather warms up to make your 🏝 vacations even more fabulous!

PS. For this pool project we had to sacrifice cute garden but… all Mediterranean herbs are successfully replanted in to the pots so you’ll still be able to enjoy fresh herbs aromas. Also, Nešpula (Eriobotrya japonica) tree will be digged with roots and transported with truck to the new owner who has a perfect place for it and is ready to love and cherish the tree as we did 💚

One of curiosities to mention for all those planning to visit Zlatni rat (Golden Horn) is to see how lucky you are to find a “stone of happiness” or “lucky stone” or “kamen sreće” by the locals that often gets washed ashore and as many says brings luck to its finder. Swipe to the last photo to see how they look and how big and small they can be.

Well, it is a small stone that closes the seashell of a sea snail called Astraea rugosa or locally Turban. It looks like a snail fossil and you can probably find it on the whole beach, but the best place to search for them is on the west side beginning of the beach. We say anyone can find one with a little effort so just try it and enjoy relaxing sounds of overturning pebble stones while searching for your piece of happiness! 🐚🐌🤞🏼

Olive oil and indigenous island gastronomy are increasingly common motives for tourists to come to our beautiful island, especially in the pre and post-season. Along with a souvenir made of Brač stone, Brač olive oil is really something that you have to bring to your homes from our island 🫒🕊

Bol is most famous for the Zlatni rat beach. But there are many lesser known attractions and one of them you can see right from our terrace 👀
‘Kuća u kući’ or the ‘House in a House’ is actually a smaller house built inside the remains of a much bigger house and today is protected cultural monument.
As legend goes it all started sometimes in the 19th century with a massive land dispute between three rich brothers captains of the ship and peasant Marko 🧑🏻‍✈️🧑🏻‍✈️🧑🏻‍✈️⚔️👨🏻‍🌾
Brothers wanted to build a mansion on the land where peasant Marko house was located but he didn’t want to sell them his house. Local authorities got involved and at one point Marko had to run away from the island because he got into a huge fight with them. While Marko was in exile brothers started to build the walls around his house, planning to bring it down in the process 💣 When brothers required materials for the roof they took their ship to Venice to source the goods. Their ship was caught in a storm and brothers died in a shipwreck. After a while Marko returned to Bol and continued to live in his house surrounded by walls of the unfinished mansion that are still here today witnessing the legend of long passed times 👀

Military tunnels built by Yugoslavian army during communism, designed to safely hide submarines and navy vessels. Tunnels maintained a mechanism to hide the entrance in case of attack or aerial reconnaissance. Today are used to safely hide fishermen during sudden storms.
Located in the bays of Kruščica, Smrkva and Maslinovo can be visited by one of the many guided tours 🛥
