We are often asked to recommend places to enjoy local food, for the last few years restaurant Ribarska kucica has been our go-to place, and based on fully booked tables not only ours. News has spread across the Island, so we suggest giving them a call a couple of days in advance.
They offer consistent quality and well-priced meat, fish and seafood meals and even their veggies are delicious.

As a local, we made a habit of escaping here for a summer weekend lunch, we are bound to share more "hidden" eastern Bol's calming ambience, bay view overlooking the monastery and the sounds of turquoise sea crashing against the rocks. It doesn't get old no matter how many times we've been here.

Remember our inspiring local architect Iva Bakovic, she hinted at an option to put wallpaper as a focal point on a living room wall. I like stone walls as an internal option in these types of old houses, but we had to work with what we had. Our 80-ish-year-old walls were a mixture of various stones, pebbles, and bricks and it wasn't the nicest-looking combo.

I've kept Iva's idea for months on a back burner, and eventually started researching and found a recommendation for incredibly creative Mirna Sišul, a Croatian artist who is creating fabulous wallpapers and prints. I fell in love with the idea of bespoke wallpaper including family photos and made an order at . This was a surprise for my Mum, Nona Vi and the rest of the family. We absolutely adore this memory wall and art prints in a bedroom.

Upper bathroom
What is better than one spa-like bathroom? Two spa-like, unclutter, yet practical, clean bathrooms. Looking back at the positive feedback we received from our guests highlights how two bathrooms have made their holiday experience so much better, be it couple(s) or families with children.

This smaller single-bed room used to be my mum's childhood bedroom and we decided very early to turn it into a more practical and needed space.

For zen-inspired timeless, neutral tiles we have found the right combination at , as we wanted to give homage to Nona Vi original terrazzo tiles.

We can't imagine this was unused space for decades. To ensure to get the most bang for buck before painting, we cleaned it with pressure wash (in a middle of an April rain storm) and gave it a mini makeover. North facing oasis 🤩

On this rainy November day we are just day dreaming about summer and little life pleasures such as sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Many guests who visit Bol tend to enjoy some of the outdoor activities such as windsurfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, SUP and kayak tours, quad rides, cycling, tennis, hiking to Vidova Gora, sightseeing, para-sailing, banana and tube rides, water skiing and boat excursions.

Did you know Bol is one of the most popular beach holiday destinations in Croatia? It is a small town on the south side of the island Brac only an hour away from Split. The famous Zlatni Rat Beach is just under 2 km walking distance along the pine trees promenade, however, the town has been blessed with numerous pebble beaches on the east and west side.
