“The FARR 30 for is the most distilled essence of the clean, light, simple philosophy. The first production one-design to bring non-overlapping jibs on swept spreader rigs to the mainstream, it was drawn to be fast, easy to build, and straightforward to sail.

“It went well in all conditions but perhaps its finest achievement was 11 years of the Tour de France à la Voile, where the variety of conditions and distances challenged many of the world’s best sailors in one of its best boats.”

The FARR 30 remains a great deal of fun to sail.

One moment of our sailing butterfly towards our first mark.. 🔹Regatta Susak for double handed and for crews- we. The Kvarner Bay is full of respect, especially according to the forecast of the North Wind Tramuntana up to 40 KTS. The regatta runs from Icici-Opatija to the island of Susak and back about 100 nautical miles. Due to the weather conditions, the regatta was shortened, so we sailed around the island of Unije, which we turned as the 3rd boat. Downwind we started with the first reef on the mainsail and the gennaker that broke right after the start, so we continued with jib#3 because the other genakers were too big for this kind of wind. When we turned Unije, we put the storm jib and the 2nd reef on the mainsail, but soon we shortened to the 3rd reef..We continued further into the wind and waves which were quite aggressive...We gave our best and the boat too, but the conditions were such that we decided to end the regatta to our great regret.. BIG Congratulations to the winners HATS OFF @hrvoje petrovic💪👏and to all who finished-BRAVO, but also to those who participated because they all had the greatest desire to finish the regatta. 👉We had an excellent crew, to whom I am most grateful..
