The town is located on the most beautiful spot of the Kvarner Bay, only 20 km from the city of Rijeka and airport. Crikvenica is rich in cultural activities such as concerts, exhibitions, folklore events and traditional parties, but it also offers a variety of active entertainment allowing the young people to fill their free time. They can choose among well equipped sport grounds as well as the eq

uipment for waterpollo, rowing, surfing, wind-surfing, tennis, mini golf etc. Besides its tourist offer based on rest and recreation, Crikvenica also offers the services of health tourism with its two modern Healing Centres - Thallassotherapia and Terme Selce. The entire town of Crikvenica is in fact a Riviera with a row of almost connected small tourist resorts: Selce, Crikvenica, Dramalj and Jadranovo. The town spreads about 28 square kilometres in the coastal zone, which is about 16 km long and about 2 km wide, and is situated between the sea and the elongated littoral reef at an average height of about 300 m above sea level. We have 7 beaches with a Blue Flag* which proves the exceptional purity of the sea.

In the city center you can rent a bike or a scooter, or take a walk on the 16 km long promenade. There are a lot of restaurants and caffés by the promenade, from where you can enjoy a drink or a dinner with a view of the sea. You will truly feel the spirit of a typical small mediterranian town. There are many possible tourist tours to make in our region for instance the famous Plitvice Lakes National Park, Risnjak National Park, Islands Rab and Krk, Krka National Park etc.. The town has a more than a century-old tourist tradition, mostly due to its favourable climatic conditions with more than 2,500 hours of sunshine per year and its clean air and sea. All of the above mentioned make Crikvenica an ideal destination for tourists of all ages throughout the year.
