🇭🇷 Danas je obljetnica smrti Ivana Vučetića, oca daktiloskopije, koji je rođen u Hvaru a kojeg je životni put odveo u Argentinu.
Među prvima je spoznao vrijednost uzimanja otisaka prstiju radi identifikacije te je 1891. osnovao Službu za identifikaciju u La Plati.
Desetoprstni sustav identifikacije, nazvan Vučetićevim sustavom, službeno je uveden u Argentini 1902. godine, a potom i u mnogim drugim zemljama.
Na dan kada je napustio ovaj svijet, argentinski parlament prekinuo je sjednicu i počastio ga najvećim pohvalama. 🏆
🇬🇧 Today is the anniversary of the death of Ivan Vučetić, the father of dactyloscopy, who was born in Hvar and whose life journey took him to Argentina.
He was one of the first who realized the value of taking fingerprints for identification, and in 1891 he founded the Identification Service in La Plata.
The ten-finger identification system, called the Vučetić system, was officially introduced in Argentina in 1902, and subsequently in many other countries.
On the day he left this world, the Argentine parliament adjourned and honored him with the highest praise.🏆
