Lošinj Team at the World Championship in Big Game Fishing in Mexico! 🙌

From November 24th to 29th, 2024, the Lošinj team will compete in Mexico. The team are; Robert Maršanić (captain), Ivan Raić, Dalibor Škarić & Duje Bogović (RK Rak from Martinšćica). They earned their place in the competition by winning last year's 8th Croatian Championship held in Mali Lošinj.

Good luck to the Lošinj team!!

🤝 During yesterday's action, around fifty participants joined forces to collect 40 bags of waste, totaling 3 cubic meters of garbage!

The organizers of the action were the Blue World Institute, the SUBSEASON diving center, the City of Mali Lošinj, FLAG Vela Vrata, and the Ježinac association of professional fishermen.

⛵️25th Lošinj Optimist Regatta ⬅️ The Open Championship of Croatia in the Optimist class was held from October 31 to November 3, 2024.

A total of 219 sailors participated, completing 8 races!Congratulations to all the participants and coaches, and thank you for attending! ⛵️🥰

Get ready in time for gifting! 🎁
✨ The end of the year is approaching, and with it, the holiday season. As a gift for loved ones, many of you often choose to symbolically adopt a dolphin, which supports our efforts and for that we are very grateful!

Each week, Blue World Institute will write about one dolphin that is up for adoption and share a few of its photos with you, so that you can have it prepared as a gift to others!

🐬 This week, we are starting with their well-known Meta, a resident male of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago. Researchers often see Meta, almost always in a group with other bottlenose dolphins. Recently, he was spotted in the company of males Jerry, Lino, Omikron and Oniklina, and females Alice, Andrea and her calf. This dolphin is recognizable by his easily identifiable dorsal fin and unique mouth shape.
