You easily get in contact with your neighbors. The people are very friendly and will help you whenever you need something. There is a supermarket 'Konzum' about 500m away in the neighbor village Mimice. There you can also make walks to the church, an artistic quarter, nice restaurants and pubs. In August there are lots of festivals and open air concerts. If you come in August, have a look at the 'Gusarska Vecer' - the pirates night - in Omis, the traditional song festival 'Klapa', visit the historical town of Split and Trogir! The towns Brela, Baska Voda and Makarska to the south are also very beautiful. Dubrovnik is for a one-day trip an exciting journey. In the area you can go hiking and also do rafting and diving.
