📍 Canyon Kamačnik ┃Vrbovsko

🔎The Kamačnik Canyon, a protected landscape, is a watercourse of great beauty in the length of 3200 m. A walking trail runs along the crystal clear river through the rich vegetation of protected plant species with various animal life.

📣The bridges within the Kamačnik Canyon are a special attraction and an inexhaustive inspiration to painters, and each meter of this beautiful tributary is different from the other. At the estuary where the Kamačnik tributary flows into the Dobra River, there is a restaurant offering quality homemade dishes.

📍 The Castle Stara Susica

➡The castle Stara Sušica is located near Ravna Gora at 800 meters above sea level, in an untouched coniferous centuries-old forest. After the successful resistance of the Ottomans, together with Ravna Gora in 1785, it was declared as a privileged town of the Empire of Croatia-Hungary of King Joseph II and a gilded monstrance from 1778 as a gift from Empress Maria Theresa.

➡In the 19th century, the castle was owned by Laval Graf Nugent. Back then, he was an Irish aristocrat, fascinated with the spirit and heritage of the Frankopans and the restorer of the castle at Trsat. In 1890 Rijeka merchants Felix and Joseph Neuberger bought it, and they restored the entire castle in the Romanesque style of their time. Then with the addition of a tower and a spire, the fortress received its final shape.

📍 Trakoscan Castle

➡The Castle was built in the 13th century and is also Croatia’s best-kept castle. Initially, it was used as an observation fortress and then grew with several families taking ownership over the centuries, the most prominent being the noble Croatian family Drašković. Today, the castle houses authentic weapons, armor, paintings, prints, furniture, and scripts, dating back centuries. The surrounding park and lake offer a magical medieval setting when chivalry and knighthood once prevailed.

📍 Zagreb ┃The Sljeme Tower

➡The Sljeme Tower is the visual trademark of Medvednica Mountain and the highest point above the city of Zagreb from which a panoramic view of the entire city and the Zagreb highlands can be seen. Construction of the tower began in 1973 and lasted until 1976 when it began operating on the 50th anniversary of radio and the 20th anniversary of television.

📍 Zagreb ┃ The Meštrović Pavilion

➡The Meštrović Pavilion is a cultural venue and the official seat of the Croatian Association of Artists located on the Square of the Victims of Fascism in central Zagreb, Croatia. An art gallery before World War II, it was converted into a mosque under the Independent State of Croatia and then the Museum of the Revolution in post-war Yugoslavia. After extensive renovation, it has served as a space for exhibitions and events since 2006.

📍 Košljun, Krk

➡ The island of Košljun is a real gem situated in the bay in front of Punat. In the central part of the island, with a circumference of merely 1075 meters, elevated only six meters above the sea, there is the Franciscan monastery with a representative Renaissance church and a cloister. The church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was completed in 1523 at the site of an older Romanesque church. Within the complex, there is the museum display, a rich ethnographic, archaeological, and sacral collection, as well as a library. The museum contains the famous geographical map by Claudius Ptolemy, a Greek astronomer, and geographer from the 2nd century, printed in Venice in 1511.

📍 Vrbnik, Krk

➡Vrbnik is undoubtedly one of the most famous Croatian villages. It became famous thanks to its Glagolitic heritage and famous popular song with its special melody and content which is played and arranged in a variety of performances and is called “Vrbniče nad morem” (Vrbnik above the sea). As with the other castles on the island, Vrbnik too is, situated high up, at almost 50 meters and on a truly special place, on a cliff that literally dives into the sea. With Šilo, located in the area of Dobrinj, it is the only large village on the east coast of the island of Krk. It was first mentioned in 1100. The inhabitants were mainly farmers, then navigators, and fishermen.

📍 Lubenice┃Cres

➡ Lubenice is a small village on the island of Cres located at the top of a cliff 378 meters above the sea. In the Middle Ages Lubenice was one of the centers of the archipelago due to its geostrategic significance.

➡Also, there are medieval fortress and remnants of the medieval city wall and city gate. Besides the old square, there are also many chapels in Lubenice: St Sunday Chapel, the Gothic chapel of St. Anthony the Hermit, the Parish Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a bell tower from the 18th Century and St. Jacob Chapel. Lubenice has an oval shape through which two parallel winding streets run from the north to the south. Streets in Lubenice have no names and house numbers range only from one to forty-two

📍 Cres

➡ Cres is located in the north-eastern part of a wide snug bay which from ancient times served as a good shelter from storms. Thanks to its good position a modern marina with numerous berths was built to the south of the town. The bay is filled with nice bathing areas – the first beaches are only a few minutes away by walk from the city center. Such a position lends itself to developing fishery, seafaring, and shipbuilding through the centuries. The city is surrounded by fertile land which allows olive growing from which famous olive oil from Cres is made.
