What do you have to eat when you are in Makarska?
🍽 Fish on gradele - the most delicious fish is one that is grilled the Dalmatian way, of course, with olive oil, parsley and garlic.
🍽 Pašticada - marinated beef is filled with carrots and bacon, sprinkled with wine and then cooked for at least a quarter of a day.
🍽 Buzara - a way of preparing seafood – shrimps and mussels. The basic idea is to combine garlic and seafood with homemade olive oil, all seasoned with good white wine, lightly spice and leave it on a short brew until it tastes magnificent.
🍽 Brudet - meal made from sea fish. It is most often prepared from horseradish, cuttlefish, shrimp, oysters, squid, mussels, and the best by far is brudet made of mixed fish.

🍷 Cheese and prosciutto will love a glass of wine. Red wine or a beer perfectly follows a plate of delicious red meat or ribs, grilled meat and even lamb.

🤤 While you're in Makarska, don't forget to try Dalmatian Fritule!
are traditional Croatian version of sweet, round fritters. They are prepared with a basic yeasted dough which incorporates eggs, flour, milk, butter, and sugar.
👩‍🍳 The thick, buttery base is usually enriched with strong vanilla and citrus flavors, which give these small fritters a pleasant aroma and a distinctive flavor. The secret ingredient in the preparation of these miniature doughnuts is brandy.
