The house is located in the small village of Štinjan just outside P**a on the northern Croatian coast. The old stone house had been abandoned for decades when we found it, but has now been renovated to maintain its old rustic mediterranean character while providing what a modern vacation home requires. The house has a beautiful sea view from the upstairs and back yard and you can enjoy incredible
sunsets every evening. The ground floor contains an open kitchen featuring the beautiful old stone staircase and windows in two directions. The kitchen includes a washing machine. Also on the ground floor is a living room with a sofa bed for 2. Upstairs we have two spacious bedrooms with windows in two directions, generous ceiling height and sea view. The largest bedroom is perfect for a family as it has one king sized bed and two single beds. Also works well for groups of teenage friends! The second bedroom has one King sized bed. There is one bathroom in the house with a shower. The backyard is still a work in progress. There is private parking for 1-2 cars and outdoor furniture as well as a sun umbrella for shade. Our place is 800 meters from the beach and a short bus ride from P**a city centre.
Štinjan is a small and quiet village very close to the city of P**a, the largest city in the region of Istria. The village is popular with tourists in the summer but is also the home of about 1500 people year round. The local bus will get you to P**a in only 20 minutes. There you can enjoy the interesting and very present history from Roman times, a bustling food market, and bars and restaurants. P**a has an airport and ferry lines that connect to Venice in Italy. P**a and the entire region is known for its beautiful coast. From the village you can also reach many amazing sites inland like the village of Motuvun, wineries well worth visiting, and truffel hunting areas in the north. From our house we can reach a few different beaches. Our favourite beach is only 800 meters away. We have a small grocer only 100 m from the house. Once down by the water it is possible to walk or bike along the beach for miles. We recommend a sunset drink at one of the beach bars. If you are lucky you’ll spot dolphins playing!
