"I cannot express how incredible your day will be with Captain Chris , if you hire him. This cannot be called just a boat trip, it’s an absolute adventure....there are not enough stars for me to add, I would add another 5 stars on top if I could!!
This Captain genuinely wants you to have the best day you can ever have, and is so beautifully proud of P**a, he wants you to fall in love with it too. This together with his absolute love of his life on the sea is what makes him and the trip special!
We were 4 girls wanting a private trip, and a little something more than the usual communal boat trips! When Kris arrived to collect us in the harbour, within seconds he made us feel like we were actually part of his world. He’s funny, unique, engaging, informative and very reassuring (my friend was apprehensive about the water).
Leaving at 10am, and not returning till 8pm (we just didn’t want to go back), you completely immerse yourselves in a different place, like no other trip! We swam deep into a dark cave (think Indiana Jones meets Bond). Next was mojitos and snacks.. then more swimming to a small private Island. Kris made us all a beautiful shell necklace, after diving for them, whilst we swam.
When it says he prepares you lunch.....this is an understatement. Fresh oysters caught by him while you wait...and then the theatre of the preparation...fresh lime, grapefruit and fizz to complement...we felt like a mixture of royalty and sailors!! Then lunch.....platter of fresh sardines, crab pate, cheese, bread, the biggest salad of the freshest ingredients, with tomatoes...like you’ll never taste again.... lots of wine and beer flowing for us....and so much banter, we were crying with laughter... if you’re hardy...then be prepared for a drop of whisky too. No review can really capture how magical this day was....but if you do one thing whilst in P**a....this must be it!!!
Kris even presented us with some homemade fig marmalade! We are still all on a high from this day, and it’s going to take something special to ever top this holiday boat trip. We went as tourists, we left as Chris’s friends, and all a little mesmerised by this legend of the sea:)
