Salvia path - Skitača 🐝🦋

The touristic and educational Salvia Trail leads from the Skitaci mountain house to the Orlić peak (470 m), where the slopes full of the "goddess of the Labin glades" stretch out. Medicinal salvia blooms at the end of April and in May when it spreads its violet-blue mantle. It has been used for centuries to treat coughs, throat infections and gum inflammation, to make medicinal brandies and as an addition to meat dishes for better digestion. Salvia essential oil is recommended for massaging tired and sore muscles. The scent of salvia promotes clarity of thought and is recommended against fatigue and depression, which is especially helped by the aerosol-filled sea and air here.
