The Space
The house, and especially the garden, is an oasis of tranquility where You can rest in privacy and silence, away from city noise. The house can accommodate up to 6 people (2 with 180x190 beds, 1 with 140x190 cm). We also have baby cot (added to room on request) and sofa in living room. Living room is air conditioned, and we are adding air conditioning to 2 upper rooms before summer 2016
. Room on ground floor is naturally colder. Free parking for 4-5 cars is 10 m from the house. All places are in shade (June-November). Guest Access
You can pick fruits (see image gallery) and vegetables from our garden for free. Also, we can arrange buying fresh vegetables from our neighbors. Tap water is drinkable, supplied from Krka National Park. If You are coming with kids, You can leave most of the toys at home since we have quite a lot of them (toy cars, sand pit, playing cards, games... ), bought specifically for our guests! If You like, we can arrange welcoming traditional meal (meat under the bell), grilled in our barbecue, to be ready on your arrival. Details on request. Since I'm a keen amateur astronomer, there is an option of organizing a sky-observing session with telescope where I can show to the guests the Moon, the planets and other interesting celestial objects. Interaction with Guests
Beside me, our Airbnb team includes:
* My sister Katarina (she follows all communication with guests and might occasionally answer the message)
* My mother Lucija (speaks English moderately well)
* My father Duje. My parents take care of the apartment and You can expect to meet them on Your arrival, together with either my sister or me, depending on our private obligations. We all live in Split, 50 km away, so we won't be around during Your stay, but I will be available on the telephone and email during your stay and I (or someone from the family) can come to the house if needed. You can even rely on the neighbors for some basic things, they are very friendly. Beside English, none of us speaks any foreign language, but if needed, we can call our german-speaking friend (lives in Perković, works in tourist industry) if needed. My wife speaks Italian. If You need any help with Your stay in Croatia, not just in our house, we will gladly help You with advice where to go, what to see, and how to get there. If You need advice about finding a place to stay on Hvar or Brač for other parts of Your vacation, we will gladly recommend some apartments! You can ask for any kind of help in any time between the reservation and departure, or even after that. Privacy, peace, barbecue and spacious garden. Getting Around
Vrpolje node on A1 highway is 7 km from the house. We can arrange to meet you there, if needed. Train station Perković, with frequent connections to Zagreb, Split and Šibenik, is 1,6 km away. Shops with basic goods and a few bars are near the train station. Nearby city of Šibenik has everything else You might need. Split Airport is 30 km away. There is no public transport in the village itself. Google street view and wikimapia can be very useful in planing Your trips from our house. Perković is almost ideal for trips to 3 nearby UNESCO heritage sites, all of them located within 1 hour drive distance: Šibenik (20 km), Trogir (30 km) and Split (65 km via A1 highway). Also, we recommend visiting Skradin (37 km, A1), Salona and Klis Fortress (60 km, A1) and NP Krka with waterfalls (30 km, A1) . Nearest beaches are 20 km drive. Other Things to Note
Low-frequent railroad, connecting Perković and nearby Šibenik, is some 20 meters south of the house, 2-3 meters below garden level. The railroad isn't accessible from the garden and doesn't represent significant sound pollution, as confirmed by our previous guests. You can expect around 4 passenger trains by day plus some freight trains. If You come with kids, they will probably be very excited about them! :)
