Šibenik is a historic city in Croatia, located in central Dalmatia where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. It is the oldest native Croatian town on the shores of the sea.
In the middle ages, Dolac was the suburb of Šibenik. Residents were farmers and fishermens. The famous cultural sight of this part of Šibenik is the church of St. Cross, famous for the legend of the cross that floated in the Dolac sea. Inhabitants of Dolac took the cross, built the church (just few steps from us) and put the cross inside the church. By the legend, the cross later bleed.
