The third-largest island in Croatia, Brač, boasts a rich history and natural beauty. It is famous for its world-renowned white Brač stone, one of Croatia's most iconic beaches, Zlatni rat, the stunning Blaca Hermitage carved into the cliffs, the highest peak of the Adriatic islands, Vidova gora, the mystical Dragonja Cave, and the historic gem of Škrip, the island's oldest settlement.
Brač is a place where every corner offers top-quality olive oils and wines, as well as perfect traditional cuisine.
And where good food is found, so is our series “Dalmatian marenda” (brunch). In Supetar, the main town on Brač, chef Teo Dragičević prepared traditional specialties for us: Brač’s “šporka juha” (a rustic lamb and vegetable soup), a seafood mix known as “mišanca,” and vitalac (a traditional lamb dish).

Podsjetimo, Turistička zajednica Splitsko-dalmatinske županije ovog je vikenda osvojila prestižnu nagradu Hrvatske turističke zajednice u kategoriji Gastronomski doživljaj godine upravo za projekt "Dalmatinska marenda".

Bravery, tradition, and hospitality come together in Sinj, a town where heroism is even reflected in its cuisine. As part of our series “Dalmatian Marenda” (brunch), Edo Crljen, a restaurateur and owner of a family farm, served tripe, a dish he says you either “love or don’t love.” Meanwhile, restaurateur Ankica Vlastelica prepared a dish you simply must try when visiting Sinj. Naturally, it’s the famous arambaši (stuffed cabbage rolls).
The Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County won a prestigious award from the Croatian Tourist Board this weekend in the category of Gastronomic Experience of the Year for the project "Dalmatian Marenda."

Na jednom od osam putovanja našeg serijala "Dalmatinska marenda" put nas je odveo u Staro Selo Jesenice.
Brdovito mjesto s kojeg se pruža prekrasan pogled na srednjodalmatinske otoke, osim zapanjujućih pejzaža, nudi i slikovite kamene kuće, teren za balote, ali i autohtonu dalmatinsku konobu čija nam je vrata otvorio Ante Bajso.
A kako bi to bilo samo vidjeti konobu, u njoj se ipak treba nešto i pojesti. Zato je Ante pripremio jedno od najpoznatijih jela dalmatinske kuhinje - meso ispod peke.

This hilly place, offering a stunning view of the central Dalmatian islands, not only boasts breathtaking landscapes but also picturesque stone houses, a bocce court, and an authentic Dalmatian tavern whose doors were opened to us by Ante Bajso.

We'll help you - Kaštel Štafilić, Kaštel Novi, Kaštel Stari, Kaštel Lukšić, Kaštel Kambelovac, Kaštel Gomilica, and Kaštel Sućurac. These ancient settlements stretch between the UNESCO cities of Split and Trogir, and together they form the community of the city of Kaštela.
The area prides itself on a long winemaking tradition, which is why, in the beautiful setting of olive groves and vineyards, winemaker Mladen Kuzmanić introduced us to local specialties - cuttlefish and fava beans, pancetta, goat cheese, and homemade sausage. 🔹 The first stop is Stari Grad on Hvar 🌊, where we will taste authentic island marenda and learn from a local host what marenda means to Dalmatian people.
