Diocletian days
It our pleasure to inform all our guests that from last Friday (May 17.) until September, they have a possibilty every Friday to attend a welcome show of our emperor Diocletian and the shift of the Roman guards,at 8 PM, which will take place on our Roman square called Peristil. The sounds of fanfare, drums and Roman music will be heard.
Don't miss this happening which will take you back to the time when famous Roman emperor Diocletian walked threw our city.
Yesterday, we celebrated Split's protector, Saint Domnius.
The date of May 07th is celebrated as a day of our city and its patron since the beginning of the 14th century.
For centuries a procession through the old town is taking place each year, there is a large fair on our promenade with a lot of wooden items, playgames, tools and etc.
In the late afternoon hours traditional lottery, fireworks and evening concerts are organized.
This year we had a concert of various Croatian singers.
We are sharing a short video from our promenade, with its atmosphere.
"NIGHT OF MUSEUMS" Split
Last Friday (February 2nd) we enjoyed visiting our beautiful and entertaining museums. As a part of a well-organized event "NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMS" we had a chance to visit all our museums for free and enjoy the cosy music atmosfere surronded by the Roman statues and artefacts.
Well we haven't had such exciting and joyous evening in a long while: another nerve-wrecking soccer episode with a happy end and the peak day of the Ultra festival.
Split is a great place to be!
This is what our guests woke up to this morning. Yes, today, April 22nd.
Although we are officialy in the low season, the feeling of upcoming summer is very high. Come join us!
