Island VIS *** Same like last year, we are driving as a family with our boat around Dalmatian Islands. Yesterday and today we spent an amazing time around the island of VIS. 1) Stiniva Beach 2) Blue Lagoon at Budihovac Island 3) Sunset in Komiza 4) Mesmerizing Bisevo Island 5) Lighthouse Stoncica! All of that is a must see when being in the area and worth more than “all in 1 day which is proposed by many touristic guides”! By the way: VIS is also famous for the movie “Mamma Mia - Here we go again” because many scenes where recorded here! 🌞

KARAKA Sunset Tour ☀️ Last time I promised to introduce you to an unforgettable experience in Dubrovnik. We were lucky to be invited for this tour by the married couple and it’s really a MUST DO while visiting Dubrovnik. In the 16th century Dubrovnik was known for its shipbuilding - now the symbol of the city. So thankful that we were able to experience this during our last visit to the „Adriatic Pearl“. 🌊 🇭🇷

Dubrovnik - a beautiful and yet chaotic get-away! We were invited to a Croatian-German Wedding in Dubrovnik and used this invitation for a weekend trip to this wonderful city! It was our first time flying directly to Dubrovnik and it’s amazing how you are by the sea in just a 90-minute-flight! The city and its picturesque places do not need any filter as it shines by itself BUT a big minus and many times discussed especially by locals ==> there are way too many tourists pulling their suitcases through the old city, wearing bathing suits walking downtown and with this behavior making this experience a bit less relaxing and enjoyable. Will probably get back during the next days with some more information 🫶

I am amazed by this magical time in Split! There is live music on several squares every day & night! Everything is decorated in such a nice way. Open fires, hot wine & gin, ice skating ⛸️ for kids of all ages are only a few things mesmerizing me these last days! Looking forward to the New Years celebrations tonight ✨ 💜🎄🎁🎉⛄️🎀 🇭🇷

Today I will share with you the next stop on our small Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 tour. Only 40km from Mostar you will find the magical waterfalls called Kravica close to the small town Ljubuški. The water is falling from 28 meters high and on a length of 120 meters. As you can see on my pictures it’s also possible to swim in there or get a boat tour for mesmerizing pictures close to the waterfall. Afterwards we went to a dinner at Kokuša Waterfalls which was only a 10 minute drive from Kravica. There you can eat in a fancy restaurant (Restoran Vodopad Koćuša-Veljaci) right next to the relatively small waterfalls. It’s beautiful and the food was delicious! For the famous PEKA you need to order in advance 😋 🇧🇦

Today I want to introduce you to another „sightseeing“ opportunity relatively „close“ to Split.
Only 2 hours by car you need to arrive to a beautifully oriental influenced other world.
Mostar is a city in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina (so take your passports with you as you are leaving the EU!) located alongside Neretva River. It’s mostly known for the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge, seen on the first picture), which is around 22 meters high and locals are that crazy to jump from there into the river. Further “must sees” are also the old market streets where you can get all kind of souvenirs and the Koski Mehmed-Pasha Mosque 🕌 from where you have a beautiful view over the whole city.
Definitely not my last visit to this gem 💎! 🇧🇦

Easter time in Split for us means enjoying of nature and meeting our friends we were longing for all winter! This year a surprisingly strong and cold BURA wind was awaiting us for some days so we preferred warm places inside with beautiful views! In Podstrana - a 10 minute drive from Split with various beautiful small beaches - we found located under the 5* Hotel Le Meridien Lav a great Italian restaurant “Conlemani” and were rewarded with this beautiful sundowner 🥰 🐰🐣 ☀️

Today we checked out a new place as a family. The small island of “Drvenik Veli” with only 12 square kilometer of size and around 150 inhabitants. It’s an easy 45 minute drive by boat from Split or a 50minute ferry drive from Trogir. It’s obviously in the “shadow” of the PLACE-TO-BE Islands like Hvar and Brac but it’s beautiful as well! Bays are not so crowded and the 4 restaurants on the island are offering the fresh catch of the day and of course the usual grill platter with meat and fries! A nice day trip in our eyes 😎

Only a 90minute drive by car you can find the small city of IMOTSKI and it’s famous red and blue lakes.
On 15th august every year there is a special celebration where young and old come together, listen to the “open air church” and afterwards have lamb, onions, fresh tomatoes and warm bread for lunch. The celebrations are lasting till the night and it’s a MUST for all of the homegrown people but worth visiting also for tourists. 🇭🇷 ❤️

This is a bittersweet goodbye to our home for the last 5 years.
This was our base…
…when Noa started kindergarten and Mia started school…
…when Krešo stopped playing and started his career after sports…
…when I became so ready to work again…
…where we met great people who became true friends…
…and finally where our dream house was planned and countless ideas, doubts and thoughts led to sleepless nights.
We are super happy for our new home which is still so chaotic but feels so great! Something we created and something which will make our dreams become true for the future!

Two very “cool” things in one picture 😍 junior chef *NOA* and our newest addition on our family boat - the qool box by va-Q-tec in which our lunch, the meat for the next bbq or the catch of the day stays always at the right temperature ❄️ ! Love it and so worth every 💶 🌊
