Defected Croatia is only just round the corner, so it’s time to meet some Disco Dons in part 4 of our artist spotlight series!

1 - Folamour

One of the biggest in the game, Folamour has taken his iconic bucket hat to dancefloors across the globe, including the closing day of Printworks, Glastonbury & Ibiza as well as multiple Defected & Glitterbox appearances.

2 - Dan Shake

Known for his high energy and impeccable taste in house and disco, this dynamic DJ never fails to ignite dancefloors worldwide. From euphoric peaks to deep, soul-stirring valleys, Dan Shake's seamless mixes will keep you grooving until the early morning hours.

3 - Dirty Channels

This Italian duo will have you hooked from the first beat. With their raw and gritty soundscapes, Dirty Channels effortlessly intertwines pounding basslines, hypnotic melodies, and futuristic synths leaving you craving more.

4 - Mousse T.

5 - Natasha Diggs

A Defected & Glitterbox stalwart, Shapeshifters has spent nearly 20 years at the top of the house game! Since ‘Lola’s Theme’ catapulted him to fame, Simon Marlin has toured the globe with an array of disco heat, and we’re sure that Defected Croatia will be the same!

As we continue down the road to Defected Croatia 2023, get to know these essential genre blenders in part 2 of our artist spotlight series!

1 - ODEN & FATZO
Inspired by the electronic music of the late '90s and early 2000s, Oden & Fatzo effortlessly combine various genres, including hip-house and acid, resulting in vibrant and nostalgic throwback disco house tracks. With an upcoming release featuring Camden Cox on Defected, Oden & Fatzo are poised to make a lasting impact on the global nu disco scene!

2 - TSHA
TSHA has experienced a meteoric rise in the electronic music scene over the last few years. Her talent has earned her numerous accolades, including a set at Printworks closing event, gracing the cover of MixMag and being featured in "Ones to Watch" lists worldwide. Her distinct sound defies genre norms, with her sets & releases combining atmospheric & acidic house.

3 - RITON
Riton is known worldwide for his impressive streaming numbers and commercial success! Tracks like "Rinse & Repeat" and "Friday" have achieved major chart success, while his collaboration with Dua Lipa and Silk City on "Electricity" earned him a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. His earlier work explores a huge variety of styles and sounds, from chopped beats to hip-hop, acid funk and techno.

4 - KiNK
KiNK, the alias of Bulgarian DJ, producer, and record label owner Strahil Velchev, is celebrated for his experimental approach to music. He gained international recognition in the late 2000s and became a sought-after artist in the house and techno scene. KiNK's sets pay homage to the rave culture, serving as a testament to his love for electronic music.

5 - DESIREE
Desiree has emerged as a highly respected artist and activist on the global stage! While initially known as an Afro house DJ, she has transcended genre constraints and embraced a wide range of styles, from alternative rock to South African house, in her lengthy sets.

6 - MR SCRUFF
Mr. Scruff infuses joy into the electronic music scene, with albums like "Trouser Jazz" showcasing his skillful blending of disco, house, funk, hip-hop, jazz, and edited samples. His visual aesthetic, characterised by cartoonish, loose-line drawings, is a recognizable trademark of releases!

The legendary Barbarellas is one of Croatia’s most famous nightclubs, with its open-air layout and music still blasting at dawn 🪩

The venue name comes from Barbarella’s in Birmingham, which left a lasting impression on the the Garden Festival’s founder Nick Colgan.
