Our Story
Tučepi, one of the most attractive and popular tourist destinations on the Makarska Riviera and in Croatia!
Our guests can choose from between 2,500 beds in hotel and 5,000 beds in private accommodation. Five 4-star hotels and one 5-star hotel guarantee an exceptional quality of service and comfort.
All those deciding to spend their vacation in Tučepi can enjoy a 4 km long pebble beach followed by a line of pine trees for shade, and a lovely seaside promenade for convenience. There are various activities that can make your holiday in this small seaside resort a time to remember: you could try out one of the many water sports, go hiking to the beautiful hamlets beneath the Mountain of Biokovo or hit the sport courts at the Slatina sports centre. For those who wish to delve into the depths of the sea and enjoy its beauty, there is a diving school situated in the very heart of the town - The Tučepi harbour, where you can also find many caffe bars and restaurants. If you want to experience something even more adventurous, you should check out our zip-line. It will take you gliding down several stainless steel cables above a beautiful but secluded canyon located just a few hundred meters from the center of the town and leave you breathless.
The cultural and entertainment programme is also an integral part of the towns offer. The Tučepi Summer Evenings festival hosts a diverse offer of entertainment and cultural performances. The festival typically begins with a opening ceremony on 13th of June, the feast day of St. Anthony, the patron saint of the Tučepi parish. At the end of June, a traditional festival of male A Capella choirs (klape) is held at the Kaštelet Hotel. Our visitors can also partake in Fishermen's nights, listen to popular music concerts, performances by folklore groups and klapa singing groups in the harbour almost every evening, all summer long. Especially noteworthy is the “Ka kultura u Tučepskin zaseocima” festival, during which theatrical plays and concerts are performed each evening in a separate hamlet under the Mountain of Biokovo. During these days the locals open the doors of their almost forgotten stone houses and offer culinary delicacies and drinks to all spectators for free. At the end of every august Tučepi hosts an already traditional rock festival called “Toochepin”. Young uprising bands, as well as well-known Croatian stars play for three days for all lovers of heavy beats and electric guitars.
There is also something to discover for history buffs and aficionados. On the west side of the town the medieval Chapel of St. George constructed in 1311. on the spot where once an ancient Roman villa used to be and the surrounding archaeological park prove that this area has been populated for thousands of years. Hotel Kaštelet, once a Baroque summer house belonging to the noble Grubišić and constructed in the 18th century, stands to this day on the seaside promenade. Other older buildings can be found in the already mentioned hamlets, where most of the population used to live until the 1960s. The stone houses in this part of the town are dominated by the impressive Church of St. Anthony of Padua, built in 1901., an Ethnography Museum is also located in the vicinity of it.
But first and foremost we hope that our guests will feel at home in our little town, and that they’ll get a true opportunity to unwind and have a chill summertime experience. So we are inviting you, our reeder, to leave all the stress of everyday life for at least a couple of days, take a rest, and be our guest.
