We post a video of this scene often, but this one is special.
Whilst the clouds are beautiful and the guests are happy, what makes this one special is that Zora decided to join. Since Zora was a puppy she has been part of the yoga in the mornings. This year, at the age of 14, only on a couple of occasions has she committed to the morning ritual.
On the very last yoga morning of the summer season of 2024, Zora made the choice to follow the group and take back her role as an assistant teacher.

We had so much fun hosting our first school group of the summer season on Vis Island. The students aged from 16 to 18 made the most of their time on the island, hiking, biking and visiting the Blue cave. Along with their teachers they were able to have an insight into the vast history of Vis on a guided military tour of the important historical sights. The weather was also perfect for the two days spent on and in the water, kayaking, snorkelling, rock jumping and on the paddle boards. For us we loved embracing and facilitating their energy to try something new and being able to share our enthusiasm for the island and our love of the activities.
A big shout out to the staff accompanying the students for their obvious desire to make sure the Croatian trip was a huge success.

While Craig was leading some of our guests on a bouldering climb, one of our guests was taking some GoPro shots. Experimental footage that started underwater, moved the video to shoot the right way up and then ended with this upside down camera work…Directed like a true pro!

We have a group of water lovers this week. A Dive Master, a few fantastic swimmers and a couple of surfers 🏄♀️🐬🌊
We don’t get much surf around Vis Island so we created our own surf fun yesterday. Everyday is a reminder of how we can add a little alternative ‘play’ into a day’s activity

The surfer in the video is in his mid 60’s proving once again that playing in the sea is not inclusively a kiddie’s domain 🥰

Yesterday all our guests successfully mastered the paddleboard. To make sure everyone has the chance to try it in perfect conditions, Craig takes the guests to a tranquil bay by towing it behind the kayak.
Have you tried paddle boarding? It’s really beautiful to stand tall and with the Adriatic sea around Vis Island being so clear, it feels like you are able to watch the marine life happily explore below you.

Today is the International Day of Yoga and the summer solstice.
Our guests celebrated doing what we love to share with them every morning. A stretch that starts in the shade and as we move into savasana the sun warms the rocks , creating the perfect finish to our yoga sessions.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to share our love of Vis Island this week with 24 students from Aberdeen. They have hiked, cycled, paddleboard and kayaked. Included within their tour of the island they have all also had an introduction to the extensive military history of Vis by the passionately knowledgeable Duje, from Alternatura travel agency
In between the activities, the students and staff have had chance to swim, relax, eat plenty of ice creams and today they are taking a speed boat to visit the Blue Cave on Bisevo. We know they are having a wonderful school trip. For these students it’s the first overseas trip they have been able to share together since COVID and as they graduate shortly we hope that the memories of their Croatian adventures will always remain as part of a positive school experience.

Back on the water! Day one of our 2023 summer season. Two families, super excited paddlers and when we have dinner together this evening we already all have a shared experience and a plan will develop for the rest of the week.

The light in the Green Cave is created by the sunlight shining through a small hole in the roof of the cave. Today the light was also reflecting on the wall of the cave, providing us with a stunning natural display.
A short paddle and you are immersed in a magical wonderland.
