Summer in Croatia?

If you want to taste what Adriatic Sea resorts in Croatia were like in the 1950s, but for a bit smaller price, Vis island is the spot. The island was closed for foreign visits and when it was opened again in the 90s, it stayed this way.

Fishermen still mend their nets and they still sell sardines from buckets on the main square of the town of Vis or smaller villages all around the island while their wives still cook the best meals for them in their small kitchens.

We have a 4-bedroom house that in tucked away in the village of Rukavac on the southern side of the island of Vis and we are 200 steps from the water. With that Blue Sea always there and with another 5 beaches all walking distance from the house, this is going to be a perfect spot for your summer vacation.

We are going to take care for you for a week and will cook you the best meals. We will also take you to the Green cave with a kayak and we will do all kinds of sports with you. Our personal trainers will make sure that it is going to be just the right holiday type for you.

Bedrooms are simple, with lots of sun and filled with personal touch. Our outside dining room is heavenly, but just as lovely is the outside living room under the pine trees.

Vis is a crazily brilliant, pocket-sized island in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, easy to be reached from town of Split on the mainland.

We have created a nice holiday place for all of you how want to experience holidays with daily activities and round off the evenings with lashings of home grown wine and homemade liquors.

We are about 200 steps from the water and there are some beaches on the island that you will be able to be alone.

Our four simple bedrooms have Mediterranean style and the outside terrace has a heady scent of the pine trees with an outside dining room.

Your private chef will be cooking meals just for you from our home grown vegetables.

Filming of this amazing movie Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again took place from August to December 2017 in Croatia - on the island of VIS.

(some scenes were filmed in Bordeaux, Stockholm, Oxford, Hampton and at Shepperton Studios :) ).

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was premiered at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on July 16, 2018, and was released in the United Kingdom and the United States on July 20, 2018.

The film was a box office success, grossing $402 million worldwide and received positive reviews!

We can go see it together at the outside movie theater on the every Wednesday and sing all the songs together. :) So, one night we will have a movie night. 😍

Summer is a great time to relax and take in the sights of a new place. And just imagine that this new place is the island of Vis in Croatia.

In fact, riding a bike while on vacation is a great way to take in those sights without missing anything. We have the bikes, we know the hidden places and we promise we will schedule your bike ride for a cooler part of the day. And then you will not feel so bad of trying to taste all our home-prepared food. 😊

One more thing why cycling is great: it can help you relax both your body and mind. You can spend time by yourself just enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the area.

But we won't be only cycling around... no no, that is only one small part of our daily excursions.

Vis island in Croatia has to be on top of your list of summer destinations (because it’s too small for you to remember it actually exists 😍 ), and when thinking about it, you realise that overlooking Vis is a huge mistake: it has got it all!

☑️Beautiful beaches? Check!
☑️History and archaeological sites? Check!
☑️Year-round beautiful weather? Check!
☑️Exciting nightlife? Nope! None of that. Relax only.

We could go on but the list of reasons to visit Vis island is too long.

Best for: Anyone, really.

Must see: Boat trip on the southern side of the island.

A summer in Croatia is like opening a goodie bag – when you open your bag, you put a big smile on your face and start exploring.

For one, it’s often referred to as the land of the islands (we have a bit more than 1400 of them), with nature supplying pristine beaches and a verdant interior. Vis island is probably the most beautiful of them all. Closed for tourism until 1989 and no real tourism development, it is as natural as it can be.

When you have a canvas like this photo from the secret spot on one of our pen*sulas (where we can take you), it’s easy to recognise that good looks are second nature to the region. Boasting millions-miles of beaches and a classically beguiling coastline backed by olive groves and the pine-clad small hills, it’s hard to resist a getaway to Croatia.

Best for: Relax. Peace. Good food. Even better wine. Water activities. History. No big crowds.

🐬🐬🐬 Wouldn't a holiday abroad sound like a cool breeze on a summer afternoon?

After all, who can deny the bliss of a flight to Croatia or kayak down to the deserted insland somewhere in the middle of Adriatic Sea? ⛱

Only a true blue traveller can tell you how thrilling and satisfying it is to travel far and wide. The pleasure of measuring the world with your dreams in the form of a travel is something inexplicable through mere words. 🏝
