At the top you can ski as well or just walk on the top of alps. In winter, the Vogel turns into a renowned alpine ski resort with natural snow and fantastic views. Famous Carnival in Rijeka+Trsat castle+Fuzine town!

Rijeka Carnival is Croatia’s biggest party!
Carnival in Rijeka is a brilliant blend of colour, tradition, loud music, confetti, exuberance, costumes, dancing, cheerful people, laughter, parties, parades, delicious food and lots of fun. It is the time of year when you can let loose and become whoever you wish to be!
Rijeka Carnival is not only one of the most acknowledged and largest carnivals in Europe, but is one of the brightest celebrations in the world! Rijeka Carnival is said to be one of the top ten events in Europe. Rijeka Carnival attracts around 150,000 spectators and 10,000 masked participants. People come from not just all over Croatia but from all over the world to join in the celebrations.

PROGRAM
We departure from Zagreb. First we made a nice stop at the charming town of Fuzine, it will be probably surrounded by snow:)
Later we will go to the medieval castle of Trsat. Perched high on a hill overlooking all of Rijeka, this 13th-century hill-fortress enjoys a strategically crucial position. We will enter the castle and enjoy the best views. Later we make a short stop at the church “ The Shrine of Our Lady of Trsat” is the largest pilgrimage centre of Western Croatia.
With go further for a short city tour of the oaustrohungarian city of Rijeka (with it s medieval and roman part), and then we leave free time to enjoy the Carnival party !. Feel free to come with a costume or mask!

Included: modern transport, guide, stop by Fuzine lake, walking tour in the austrohungarian city of Rijeka, entrance to castle of Trsat, toast with champagne, snacks, and guide.
