Ancient Greek wine history. If you go back 2.500-3.000 years ago Greek people already figured out how to store, serve and drink wine. Vis island, remote place 2.5hrs ferry sail from Split. Winery 'Lipanović' ages it's wine in carved rock tunnel, made by ex federal army, where diesel generator was stationed. Some wines (Plavac mali) are quite mighty with 15,1% alc. Another wine star is local variety - Vugava. It's 'cool' to be here, because it is cool - 15°C. Daily wine-tastings are available

I drove descendants of Croatian family through Lika region. We stopped in Lovinac town to visit old stone house in the middle of 'nowhere'. Our guide pointed us to fresh bear foot marks, after we saw wolf marks, too. Guide said: don't worry, they passed hour ago. Just make noise and talk loud, we're safe then.
