Kopački Rit is Croatia's most significant zoological reserve.
It is the largest breeding and spawning ground for freshwater fish in the Danube region and one of Europe's largest alluvial wetlands.
The Nature Park is home to over 2,300 species, including around 140 bird species that nest within its boundaries. 🐦

Mljet – the green island, often believed to be the Ogygia of Homer's Odyssey. 😍According to legend, the nymph Calypso, who became the lover of the Greek hero Odysseus, made this island her home. The island's beauty was said to be the only thing that could rival her own, compelling Odysseus, the eternal wanderer, to remain there for years. But is there any truth to this legend? 🤩
Some historians are convinced that when Homer described Ogygia, he was actually referring to the island of Mljet. 🌟
