You've heard about the beautiful Plitvice Lakes, but do you know the legend of how it was created? 🤔 Legend has it that long ago Plitvice was struck by a great and relentless heat wave which dried up rivers, and both people and animals grew dehydrated. Then, one day, a fairy from the Velebit Mountain known as the Black Queen 🧚 came and with her, brought rain. It rained so hard, the Black River (Crna rijeka) flowed towards the 16 lakes, creating a magical water paradise and the people rejoiced, never forgetting the Queen's good deed.
